After the longest time, we are coming back with the new Q&A session with Adam from Obsession Rouge.

What caught our attention is the fact that Obsession Rouge was also started by a couple – Adam, obviously, and Eve. And although the blog’s voice is mostly Adam, Obsession Rouge is still shaped a lot through the couple’s perspective which we really like and find similar to our own situation.

Adam answered questions about the blog, their biggest motivation, what to find on the blog, and much more so without any further ado, let’s jump into the Q&A!

Don’t forget to check the blog and of course, follow them on socials!

Q&A – Obsession Rouge

Hi Adam and thanks for reaching out, we’re always happy to e-meet alike people!

Before we continue, please tell us a bit about yourself and Obsession Rouge. When was it founded and why? What was the idea behind it?

I come from a small town in the UK and moved around Europe for a number of years before settling in France. Eve is French and grew up in Paris, where I met her.

We began the blog in late 2017. We’d gotten together a couple of years earlier and had learned a lot about sex by being with each other. Both of us had sexual partners before but there was something different about this relationship because of how open and explorative we were with fantasy etc.

I never imagined Obsession Rouge would grow to what it is now. In the end, the website became a sex toy review blog because companies kept wanting to send us new toys to review.

For around a year the blog has been more my voice than Eve’s and we’ll probably keep it that way. I enjoy writing more than her and it’s actually been great to have one of us with a foot firmly in the real world! Eve still translates some of my better articles into French and tests toys occasionally, so she’s still involved.

What’s your biggest motivation when we talk about blogging and content creation?

Putting thoughts into words solidifies the experience and knowledge I’ve gained. That’s a huge motivation.

Creating content that I wish I had seen ten or fifteen years ago is also really a joy. If my content helps somebody dealing with issues similar to those I’ve had then that makes me very content.

At the same time, if I recommend a good sex toy and someone ends up enjoying it then that also makes it worthwhile!

Obsession Rouge has also been a great learning opportunity for writing. Having so many people reading what I write has improved my ability to write for an audience instead of just myself. Even if people don’t leave comments, us bloggers can see what works and what doesn’t.

In a few words, what can one find on your blog? What is your favorite piece of content?

Sex toy reviews, sexual health articles, and guides. We also have an exciting French / British exchange coming out this month where we talk about each culture’s attitudes to sex.

At the moment my favorite piece of content is a big guide I recently wrote on prostate massage. That was something in the works since last year.

We saw a lot of sex toy reviews on your blog. Can you tell us what is Eve’s favorite toy and what is yours?

For Eve it is the Womanizer Pro40. She tried it several years ago and as of yet, it has not been beaten!

The We-Vibe Vector is my most highly scored prostate toy. However, it definitely isn’t my favourite toy. Although I like prostate play, I prefer penis toys. There aren’t currently any penis toys that merit the title of favourite yet! Maybe one day.

Can you recommend any strictly couple’s sex toy?

The Pulse Duo Lux really exceeded our expectations. That thing sounds like a small motorbike but fuck is it good.

What general advice would you give to people looking for sex toys?

I’d recommend they spend time reading several different sex blogger’s opinions.

We all have different tastes and our scoring can vary.

It’s also essential to know about sex toy materials and which are considered body-safe. Miss Ruby Reviews and Dangerous Lilly have written great articles on body-safe materials. There are many unsafe sex toy materials still being used so it’s really important to educate oneself about it.

Do you have any funny/ amazing/ horrible stories related to your blogging?

I’ve dealt with a few dodgy companies before yes. Luckily there hasn’t been too much drama!

Recently I left The Handy’s masturbation sleeve in plain view during a dinner party we had at our place. Nobody said anything but I’d be surprised if none of our guests saw it. It’s a transparent and abstract one at least!

How can people reach out to you? What are your social media profiles?

They can send me a message through the contact form on our website ObsessionRouge.com/contact or they can get in touch with me on Twitter.

Thank you for sharing with us! Before we finish, do you have anything else to say, piece of content to recommend?

Oh the blank piece of the paper challenge, I like it. Well… why don’t I recommend some French wine?

My favourite red wine is Graves. Eve’s favourite is Saint-Émillion. Haut-Medoc is also very good. But for maximum luxure on a date night, go for some champagne. It really would be a shame if you die without having drunk champagne off of someone’s body.

The brand Nicolas Feuillatte makes good champagnes that won’t break the bank (at least not here in France). Remember… if the champagne isn’t from Champagne (a region of France), it isn’t champagne!

Awesome Adam, thank you for answering our questions and we wish you the best of luck!
