We’ve tried numerous sex toy apps, and while many offer similar control options, none compare to the sheer variety of features and fun that the Lovense app provides. After exploring most of them, today I’ll show you how to use the Lovense app for maximum fun and pleasure.
As I’m writing my Lovense Max 2 review, I realized it’s the perfect time to share all the creative ways we’ve used these toys and explore everything the Lovense Remote app allows you to do.

The app is packed with usage options, modes, features, and even games, which is why they’ve built such a massive, loyal community—spanning from couples and streamers to gamers.

All the ways we used Lovense toys…so far
We own several Lovense toys and are hoping to add even more to our collection in the future. I’m particularly interested in the Solace model, thanks to its table mount and stroking mechanism, and the Gush, which I think is perfect for edging and stamina training. There are plenty of different ways, modes, and options and these are not in any particular order.
How to use the Lovense Remote app?
Lovense Remote app, Tophy and VibeMate apps
1. Remote control
The app lets you control your toy from your phone. You can go to the Remote control option and pick from four different ways to adjust the vibes (Loop, Float, Traditional, or local sync control modes).
I personally prefer Float mode because the control buttons float at the desired settings without having to hold them at that intensity.
2. Custom patterns
If you’re into customizing, you can make your own vibration patterns. Save them, share them with your partner or the community, or save them in your playlist for later. This is one of the functions I’ve been using the most.
3. Control link
Want someone else to take control? You can send them a control link. Share it with your partner for long-distance play, or even put it out there on Tophy to connect with someone new (yes, a random person from the internet).
4. Music sync
Turn on music sync and the toy will vibe to whatever music you’re listening to. Just pick your playlist and the toy reacts to the beat. Simple and fun. We’ve been connecting it our Spotify app

5. Long-distance tab
This tab allows you to sext or video chat with a partner while controlling each other’s toys.
6. – 13. Games
The app has a bunch of arcade-like games where the toy syncs with the gameplay. Every time you hit a combo, jump, break, or merge numbers, the toy vibrates. It’s a pretty fun way to mix things up and try something new.
I tried all the games: Seduce your ex, 2048, Crazy Ball, Endless Blade, Colortris, Block Cutter, Typing Turbo, Projekt Melody: Melware Rises.
There is also Regular Tetris and Foreplay Bingo but my Lovense Max 2 did not vibrate while I was using it and playing. I wish it worked with Tetris because I love Tetris.
Most fun? Typing Turbo especially as you get close to the orgasm.
14. – 16. Tophy app
Tophy is a separate app designed for connecting with other Lovense users, something in between a social media app and a dating app.
It’s a place where you can meet potential play partners for long-distance fun or just to try something new.
You can explore and even control other people’s toys, add friends, send messages, and build out your profile.
You can chat with several AI personas which is SUPER fun, while they also control your toy.
17. – 21. VibeMate app
VibeMate is another app, also from Lovense that, in short, allows you to connect your toy to almost any video and have it vibrate accordingly. Haven’t tried connecting to any streamer but tried connecting to porn videos (Pornhub and Tubegalore) which was great.

22. Patterns
In the Pattern option, you can explore a range of vibration patterns created by other users in the Lovense community.
You can easily sort through them by categories like popular, recommended, or recent, giving you literally endless options and inspiration for customizing your play based on what others are enjoying. I’ve also spent a lot of time here.
23. Control roulette
If you’re feeling adventurous, the control roulette feature lets you hand over control of your toy to a random, anonymous user. Fun but I found somebody just a couple of times. Maybe it is not as popular in the morning?
24. Voice control
…is in Beta mode and I could not try it?
25. Sound
In Sound mode, the toy reacts to surrounding sounds. The toy vibrates in response to the intensity and volume, whether it’s music or voice.
26. Speed mode
Speed mode adjusts the toy’s intensity based on how fast you move your phone. The faster the movement, the stronger the vibrations. I noticed that it reacts more to the speed of the phone vs the speed of the car or bus. This is good for let’s say working out (running) while you have your phone strapped to your hand.
27. Game mode
Game mode syncs your toy to other games. More on that below.
28. Alarm mode
You can set up an alarm to activate your toy at specific times, or even sync it with other users’ alarms. It allows for some fun wake-up calls and long-distance fun.
29. Interactive video mode
You can sync your Lovense toy with YouTube videos, allowing the toy to react to what’s happening on-screen. Haven’t used this option too much.
30. Discord community
Lovense’s Discord community is a place to be. It offers a million rooms but in general you can chat, discuss new toys, exchange control links in the Control Lounge, and share or collaborate on erotic stories in the Erotic Story Part room. You can also discuss games and experiences such as: VRchat, 3DX chat, Second Life, Breeders of the Nephelym, Projekt Melody.

More games and experiences
Games included within the Lovense app are not the only games, or experiences you can join with your toys. If you visit the website there is a whole bunch of games you can play while having your toy connected. Note: most of these games are not free. I haven’t played majority of them I just did research for the sake of this article.

31. – 33. 3DX chat
3DXChat is an interactive game for adults. You join an interactive 3D world where you can chat, date, socialize and of course – fuck. Whether it’s on a beach, in a club, a prison cell, or even up against a stripper pole, you’ll find couples and groups going at it wherever you look.

Junk Hero is a tavern simulation game with dating elements and easy-to-learn gameplay. You will be interacting with different characters, doing mini-games and upgrading shops and restaurants. Goal? Eventually establish a unique red-light district in the heart of a fantasy town.
55. Academy 34
Academy 34 throws you into a world where becoming an agent seemed like the perfect plan—until you set foot on campus. When there you start exploring all kinds of wild student experiences. Absolutely love the graphics.

It’s a collection of simple strip games with graphic styles I don’t like.
