Things I liked

I love that the app(s) offer a million and one fun functions to explore. The ease of cleaning is another huge plus. But what really stands out is the toy’s mechanism (more on that below), the way it feels, and how perfect it is for longer, teasing sessions rather than quick, one-and-done encounters.

My experience using Lovense Max 2

If you’ve read any of my penis toy reviews, you’ve probably noticed that the kind of stimulation I enjoy most involves stroking, with my cock snuggly wrapped in soft TPE material. That’s why I can’t stop raving about the super affordable Tenga Spinner.

With that in mind, the Lovense Calor wasn’t my favorite. While it felt good, especially when squeezing the squeezable part against my head and frenulum, however, my cock was not snuggly surrounded by gentle rubber and the toy simply did not feel good for stroking. It is better suited for static use combined with squeezing.

Lovense Max 2, to be honest, I did not research a lot before I got it and I always thought it was a stroking toy only. That’s why the air pump feature kinda surprised me.

Right away, I loved the soft TPE sleeve. Just to be clear, you absolutely need lube to use this toy—I can’t imagine it being pleasurable without it.

The contractions from the air pump felt like pure heaven—or at least how I imagine heaven would feel.

I came several times so hard I really could not believe it felt so good. I couldn’t believe how good it felt. And because there was no stroking involved in those sessions, I lasted pretty damn long for my standards.

The build-up was slow, and the orgasm was intense. Very intense. The longer it took, the more the orgasm surged through my entire body, each time ending in full-body convulsions.

The toy feels great when stroked, but I enjoyed using it statically much more. It gave me the time to fully explore the app, savor the sensations, and build up to a more intense orgasm.

In a couple of sessions, I paired the Max 2 with the Firm Tech rings I was testing, and the orgasm I had was beyond anything I’ve experienced during solo toy play.

The rings are fantastic thanks to their loop system, which made my cock incredibly hard, bulbous, and a hundred times more sensitive. This heightened sensitivity made the Max 2’s contractions feel like I was dipping my cock into clouds, all the way to an explosive orgasm.

It’s safe to say this combination trumps the Tenga Spinners sensation by at least 10x times.

How did I use the Lovense app and Max 2?

I tried the following:

I controlled it through a remote
I created my own pattern
I explored patterns created by community

Vibed with music through my Spotify
Watched porn

The only thing missing was a mount for the Max 2. I tried leaning back in my chair and positioning myself at the edge of the table, hoping I could rest the toy there while using the app, but it wasn’t feasible. The Max 2 would eventually roll to one side or the other.

A mount would greatly improve app usage by freeing up both hands and reducing the chance of creating a slippery, lube-filled mess.

Is Lovense Max 2 a loud toy?

Max 2 is not loud but it is not quiet either. If there is somebody in the room next door, I would not use it without a background sound.

How to charge Lovense Max 2?

Lovense Max 2 is charged via a magnetic charger. A charging cube is not provided with the toy.

How to clean Lovense Max 2?

I had no trouble cleaning the toy. The sleeve can be pulled out (and put back) easily, and since it is open-ended cleaning is basically effortless. Once washed with soap and warm water, I always whip it around several times (using centrifugal force) to get rid of all big water drops. After that, I leave it to air dry.

And if your juice drips out on the inside of the toy, that’s also not a problem celaning it with also warm water and soap.

The toy has an IP rating of IPX6. IPX6 rating means that the product can resist high-pressure, heavy sprays of water.

Special considerations when using Lovense Max 2

The Lovense Max 2 can be a suitable option for users with limited hand strength or mobility, as the toy can be operated without the need for stroking and by using the Lovense Remote app, reducing the need for constant handling.

While the toy’s buttons are easily accessible, the app provides more detailed control, allowing folks to adjust settings with minimal physical effort. This might be helpful for folks who may struggle with dexterity or find holding and manipulating toys for long periods difficult.

Additionally, the toy’s open-ended sleeve and simple magnetic charging system make it relatively easy to clean and maintain.

However, it’s smart to also consider weight as it might be an issue for some folks (mount!!)
