- To seek out those who hold similar values to me and help support them through my blog.
My Values
- I always try to work with companies who are sex-positive, feminist, gender-neutral and ethical.
- I only promote and review body-safe products and will only work with companies whose majority of stock is body-safe.
- I only feature companies that are of a high standard and that I would trust to purchase from myself.
- I refuse to work with any companies who do not uphold my morals.

Q&A – Grace Selena
Through 8 questions we asked her, we covered sex blogging, her beginnings in that field and of course, sex toys! The first question was very insightful for us, as new sex bloggers – thank you, Grace.
What advice would you give to someone just starting a sex blog?
If it’s a review blog like mine, then the main thing I would say is to start by reviewing the toys you already have.
If you love sex toys enough to be considering starting to review them, then you should already have a somewhat substantial collection (and if you don’t, I would definitely suggest starting with this before investing further time and money).
By reviewing your own toys you can comfortably spend time finding your own writing style and voice, without any pressure of deadlines. Then, once you have a few reviews under your belt, you can start announcing yourself to the world, other bloggers, and companies.
How did you decide to start one?
Way back before I was a reviewer, I was a cam girl. I had a big interest in sex toys, personally and for my work, and so I was both buying a lot and receiving a lot for free from fans.
I looked for guidance from reviewers to help me pick out what to get, and then that made me in turn want to review my purchases. I’ve always enjoyed reviewing things, I even use to be a Yelp Elite, so it was just natural for me.
I first started posting my reviews to my Tumblr alongside my porn work, and it helped that I already had an established fan base there for feedback. I then ended up really enjoying it and found that it was a good creative outlet, so after a few months I moved to my own website.
After one year I was loving it so much that I decided I wanted to make it my full priority, so I retired from camming.
As an adult toy reviewer, do you have a favorite adult toy? Why that one?
I sure do! My favourite is definitely the Magic Wand Rechargeable.
I got it all the way back when I was a cam girl from a fan, and I still use it almost every day. I’m generally a very lazy masturbater, so while dildos, butt plugs, and other toys are a lot of fun for a day off, it’s a wand massager I’m going to be reaching for 99% of the time, and this is the best there is.
What is your favorite adult toy brand?
This is a hard question! I may be biased because I work for them now, but Geeky Sex Toys have been one of my favourite brands for a long time (way before I had any involvement with them).
They take my two favourite things, pop culture and sex toys, and mash them together, plus they are one of the few sex toy manufacturers in my home country of Australia, so it’s hard not to love them! Other than that I would have to say Tantus, as I have quite a large range of their toys and they are all fabulous.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to buy a sex toy? What to look for, what materials are good,..?
The most important piece of advice I could give them is to buy a silicone toy.
Materials really are very important when it comes to sex toys, as they aren’t regulated and so if you aren’t careful you could end up with a toxic toy (before I was a reviewer I ended up getting sick from one of these).
I have a guide on material safety here, which explains what to avoid and how to recognise it, as you can’t always rely on what retailers label them as. On that note, the second most important piece of advice I could give is to buy your toys from a reputable retailer.
You’re best off going to smaller online stores that have curated ranges, rather than the massive retailers who offer ridiculous amounts.
If you’re not sure who to buy from, you can always check out my Favourite Stores page, or any of the companies I work with, as I am very strict with who I promote.
Based on your experience, do you think that adult toys have a positive impact on life/ sex life?
Absolutely. Sex, pleasure and orgasms are all good things that have fantastic effects on our lives, health and happiness, so how could it not leave a positive impact?
Sex toys are just tools to help us feel pleasure, whether alone or together with a partner.
Who buys adult toys more, women or men?
I would say women, particularly as this is the audience I cater for. But I regularly check my blog’s analytics to find that my readers are actually a pretty even split between male and female.
What’s more, when I hold giveaways I generally find that entrants are overwhelmingly male, even when the prizes are clitoral toys. So I would say it’s probably very even or perhaps actually men who buy more, I just think they are less vocal about it.
Over the years. did you review any toys/ products that are mostly used in BDSM community? Which ones?
I have reviewed a few BDSM style toys. It was something I use to do more of when I first started running my blog, as fetish wear and spanking paddles were items I would use when camming.
These days I don’t request BDSM gear, but if a company needs those sorts of items reviewed then I am happy to do it. For instance, I reviewed a bunch of the KINK by Doc Johnson range a while back for Synergy Magazine, although I’ve only just recently began getting those on the blog, starting with the KINK by Doc Johnson Drencher.
That concludes our short & sweet interview with Grace. If you want to know more about her, feel free to visit her blog or her social media accounts.
