Review: Pulse Duo Lux

When we get the opportunity to try out something different than anything we tried before, we both get pretty excited. Pulse Duo Lux, created by Hot Octopus, is the first couple’s toy that we ever got our hands-on. 

The toy was sent to us in an exchange for an honest review.

What is Pulse Duo Lux?

Pulse Duo Lux is, as I already mentioned, a couple’s sex toys operating with two different motors. One is on the inside, equipped with PulsePlate Technology and it’s meant for the penis. 

PulsePlate is basically a little plate that’s inside the toy which is moving up and down, targeting the underside of the penis – frenulum.

The other motor is on the outside, towards the tip of the toy and it’s meant for the vulva. The tip of the Pulse Duo Lux has three linear bumps that remind of a ribbed condom.

What is Pulse Duo Lux made from?

The toy is also 100% waterproof.  However, the two remotes are not waterproof, so be careful while cleaning them. 

The wrist-straps are also made from skin-safe silicone. The remote that’s inside of the wrist-strap is easily removable and it’s run by battery. Batteries used are CR2032 and they’re included.

I do have to say that putting the remote back into the wrist-strap is kinda tricky. If you don’t push it deep enough it will fall out during your playtime.

What else comes with Pulse Duo Lux?

Pulse Duo Lux comes with a USB charger and a soft, black storage pouch. Charging time is 3 hours for an hour of play with 6 vibration/ pulsation levels and 8-speed settings.

It also comes with two wrist-strap remotes. Each remote controls one of the motors. That means that I wear a remote that controls the motor for the penis while Luka wears the remote that controls the motor for the vulva. That way looked like more fun than if we controlled our own parts of the toy.

This allows us to dictate the vibration mode and speed of each other’s motors. Speed can be changed with the +/- buttons that are placed on both sides of the toy as well.

Each remote has four buttons, and you can tell them apart by the color on the edge of the remotes. Remote A has silver, while remote B has a rose gold edge. 

While I really liked the packaging – the design is similar to the one of DiGit, and there are several useful things printed on the box, there is one thing I disliked. And that particular thing is the state of the box when Pulse Duo Lux arrived.

The box was all smashed and ruined, and although the toy was intact, I felt that the toy that costs 189$ should have a more sturdy packaging or at least the outside box should be firmer. The outside packaging was discreet, just the way I like it.

Cleaning the Pulse Duo Lux

I want to write a few words about cleaning your Duo.

Since the actual toy is waterproof, I would suggest using warm water and soap or a sex toy cleaner. On the other hand, remotes are not waterproof, so you might try using a damped cloth.

We tried Pulse Duo Lux in two positions that are suggested on the box. The first time we were both very horny. Luka was hard and I was wet.

The second time we went straight to the toy, without any kind of foreplay. Not even kisses.

Like DiGiT, Pulse Duo Lux is interesting and easy to use. The quality of the build is superb, the toy works perfectly every time we turn it on.
