Review: Lovehoney Beaded Glass Dildo

Dildo. Such a basic toy. But also so diverse. 

Realistic dildo, suction cup dildo, wooden dildo, surgical steel dildo, strap-on dildo, curved dildo..so many styles and materials to choose from. 

I can’t really tell you what’s best for you and what exactly you should choose, but what I can do is tell you why a glass dildo is a good option and why I personally liked it.

The exact dildo I had the opportunity to try out is the Beaded Sensual Glass Dildo from Lovehoney.

Let’s start with basic specifications

The dildo came in a sturdy box and it was nicely secured on the inside.

It comes with a storage black, velvety storage bag which I appreciate but don’t necessarily like.

The bag itself looks like it dropped out of a bad 70ties movie and it feels a bit icky. I wasn’t very impressed.

However, I was pretty impressed when I took out the dildo.

The toy looks stunning. 9 inches long (only 7 inches is insertable), 4.25 inches thick, slightly curved with 5 insertable beads, and one big ball for holding it. True beauty.

This is the first glass toy that I saw up close and I have to say that I just love how good it looks and feels.

It is so shiny and it looks remarkably clean. I like the curve that it has and its rigidness. This dildo also has some weight to it so it feels nice holding it. 

It reminds me of Njoy Pure Wand Dildo, I would even say that this Beaded Dildo is a more affordable version of it.

Other than the obvious material difference, the Beaded dildo is less curved and lighter, but those beads are a nice little add-on. 

Glass as a toy material

I was never concerned about the safety of glass as a material in dildos. But I understand why someone might be.

When we think about glass, we instantly think how a broken piece of glass can cut through our skin.

But when it comes to sex toys, or this dildo specifically – the glass is so thick that it couldn’t break easily or make a cut at the most precious parts of our body. 

It could get damaged if it falls so we need to make sure to check for any cuts or damages on the toy itself before using it.

It’s always good to keep glass toys in storage bags to ensure it stays whole and undamaged.

What I like about glass in this toy is that it feels very smooth and it’s easy to know if it’s completely clean because you can literally see if it’s not. 

It’s also important to know that a toy is durable and can be used for a long time. 

How does it feel?

First, I played with this dildo by myself. But I let Luka watch. I was pretty horny and wet and there was no need for lube.

The small pointy tip on the top of the dildo really made it easy for me to insert the toy.

I instantly felt how it’s stretching me on the inside, even though I was only one bead in.

Tricks and tips

Glass dildos are great for temperature play.

Glass dildo, especially the beaded one can also be used as a sensual massage tool for nice foreplay. 

Another great tip is to slightly twist the dildo while it’s inside. This will be easier with straight dildos which can do a full circle.

But be careful with curved dildos, they can only be twisted slightly and you should never try to make a full circle.

Always start slow until you get the hang of it and see what feels comfortable.

Bottom line

This dildo is very affordable and it’s worth every single penny. I’m actually thinking about starting a glass dildo collection. 

I wasn’t expecting to be this impressed by a dildo. A toy that’s so basic. But I really am. 

It’s pretty, smooth, rigid, and durable. And it feels amazing. Definitely one of the top 3 toys that I have tried so far.
