Hoorah! Welcome to our first C-shaped vibrator review – We-Vibe Chorus couples vibrator.
Makes my heart all warm and fuzzy that 3 out of 4 last toys we reviewed are in some way unique. It’s easy to write reviews like that.
Chorus has several tricks up its sleeve and while I’m sure you are eager to see which ones, let’s start from the beginning – box and what’s in it.
If you don’t feel like reading, here is the verdict.
We-Vibe Chorus box
Box definitely matches the price – it looks and feels luxurious and it’s also fairly rigid. If you’re the person who likes keeping toys in their original boxes, I can assure you that this one will last.
The box lid unfolds to the left, it reminds me of how you would open a book. On the inner side of the lid, there are few useful illustrations as well as a quick walkthrough of the main features/functions.
We-Vibe Chorus is placed beneath a clear plastic cover. And down, underneath the toy and the remote, you will find the case, a USB charger for that case, a small sample of lube, and an instructions pamphlet.
I liked how they placed the instructions manual in a separate, small and thin box. It’s really not that important, however, it gives to the whole luxurious experience of this toy.
The case is used for storing and charging.
I’ll take just a second to talk about the colors.
We-Vibe Chorus is available in three colors: pink, purple, and blue.
The color of the box depends on which color toy you go for. Ours is pastel blue and the box colors match perfectly. Also, I’m happy we got the blue one since 80% of other toys are pink or purple.
All in all, this is the second time we’re reviewing We-Vibe’s toys (We-Vibe Nova 2 was the first) and this is the second time their box was on point.
Material
Few words about the material.
As it suits toys and brands of this level, the material used is premium grade body-safe silicone. It’s also free of phthalates and non-porous.
The bigger part of the Squeeze remote is also made from body-safe silicone, aside from the part where the buttons are. My educated guess is that it’s probably made from ABS plastic or something similar. No worries about that, that’s also completely safe.
What I like about the toys that are made from this type of silicone is that they feel so soft to touch, silky and inviting.
Since the materials are really of quality, taking proper care of the toy is not hard. Always clean your toys before and after use, using warm water and soap.
Meaning that with proper care, this toy can last you a long time.
We-Vibe Chorus shape
Ok, here is where things get more interesting.
As I mentioned in the first sentence, the We-Vibe Chorus is a C-shaped vibrator. And it’s pretty obvious why it’s called a C shape.
What makes it special are the two joints on the vibrator that allow you to adjust the angles so they PERFECTLY fit you.
Like we witnessed many times with rabbit vibrators. Sometimes toys just don’t fit our anatomies and consequently, don’t work or don’t work up to their full extent.
Because of that, adjustable toys are so much better.
And of course we bent Chorus as much as it goes. You won’t use it like that, this was just a test to show you how much it is bendable.
Like we wrote in the Nova 2 review – bending it may feel wrong and like you’re going to break it but that’s how it works. Go gently and don’t bend it further than what we showed you.
Using We-Vibe Chorus
This might surprise you. We-Vibe Chorus is designed to be used during PIV sex.
As you can see in the image, the shorter part goes inside the vagina and rests on the G-spot while the other, longer part stays outside, resting on the clitoris.
During sex, while sliding in and out, the penis touches the bottom part of the inner part of the Chorus. The vibrations of the bottom surface add to the sensation.
Also, having a Chorus in its place means that there is less place for a penis.
And while we think it’s highly unlikely that this is going to be an issue, there is a small chance it will be since we are all unique and no body is the same.
Vagina owners enjoy vibrations from both the inner and outer part. Both parts are also slightly textured so this helps too.
Okay, I explained how it works. But does it actually work?
Yes!
For me, the penis owner, I can feel the vibrations very much so. And this is because the penis is in almost constant contact with the Chorus. Especially the head, which is most sensitive.
Compared to vibrating cock rings, I can feel Chorus much, much more. Obviously, it’s not the same thing but this is something you might relate to.
The vagina owner, in this case, Leja, enjoyed vibrations on both the G-spot and the clit.
The pressure of the inner part, on the G-spot, was changing based on my thrusting in and out. Thrusting in made the inner part ‘’lean’’ more into the G-spot – imagine the head of the penis sliding over Chorus. The crease makes it lean in more.
But how are the vibrations, you might ask?
In a way, they reminded me of the Nova 2 vibrations. Chorus’ vibrations are slightly less strong but still on the stronger side. Nevertheless, vibrations are still deep, rumbly, and strong. Exactly what fits a toy of this caliber.
On top of that, there are 10 different vibration patterns. More than enough.
Is it quiet?
Yes. Chorus is a quiet toy. Yes, you can hear it when it’s on but it’s impossible to hear it through closed doors for example. But I like to say that while your parents/ roommates/ kids can’t hear the toy, they can hear your moans.
So 200$ and there is only one use for this toy?
Hell no! Here’s how else you could play with Chorus:
- Chorus can be used for masturbation. The toy is not handsfree (is any toy really handsfree?) but keeping the toy in place with one hand and holding the remote in the other hand is totally easy. It could maybe be 100% hands-free if you wear tight panties. But we did not try that so I can’t say for sure. It’s just an idea.
- Chorus can also be used for kinkier plays and teasing. You could wear the vibrator and your partner could control the remote, while you are tied to a chair, for example. Or maybe you could wear it outside and your partner can tease you by squeezing the remote.
Squeezing the remote you say? That brings us to the next part – controlling the We-Vibe Chorus.
Controlling We-Vibe Chorus
Chorus comes with a Squeeze remote.
The remote itself is straightforward. + and – buttons increase vibrations, and left and right arrows change the vibration patterns. There is also a function button that can either lock the remote to your preferred setting or to toggle between regular and Squeeze mode.
The squeeze function is a sweet feature that I really like. Basically, the stronger you squeeze the remote the stronger are the vibrations. Makes the toy that much easier to control while being engaged in PIV sex.
Even if you take Chorus outside – you can squeeze the remote in your pocket to increase the vibrations and tease your partner. No need to take it out and look for + and – buttons. Convenient right?
They could have made Squeeze function slightly more responsive because, at times, you really have to squeeze hard to increase vibrations. Nothing overly dramatic but I think that just a tiny bit more responsible remote would be better.
To turn Chorus on, you have to press the button on the toy – not on the remote.
One thing I’d like to mention in this part is that while Chorus is waterproof, the Squeeze remote isn’t waterproof, it’s splashproof. So be careful if you want to take your play underwater and also while you’re cleaning it.
If it happens that you submerge the remote underwater, it’s likely it will stop working. You could try taking it apart, drying it out, in rice, or whatever other hack you know but the bet is that it’s not gonna work.
Chorus comes with a 2-year warranty but I don’t think it covers that.
App
Now onto the app and the second sweet feature – Touch Sense mode.
Pairing Chorus with the app is effortless, just like pairing Nova 2 was. Well actually, you are going to pair the Squeeze remote with the app, not the vibrator. So make sure the remote is always close and in range.
The pairing process is started by holding the button on the vibrator for 5 seconds.
The app is We Connect – the same app for I guess all We-Vibe’s toys.
All the controls from Squeeze remote can be found in the app too. Plus the Touch Sense mode.
What is Touch Sense mode?
So, We-Vibe placed special touch-sensitive receptors beneath the We-Vibe logo. As you play, your movements control the vibrations. How? Depends on which one of three touch sense modes you choose.
This function is best utilized while in the missionary position.
Touch Sense functions:
- With each touch to the sensors, the vibrations step up in the intensity until Chorus reaches max power, then the vibrations step back down to the lowest setting before repeating this pattern
- Chorus will vibrate in a slow wave pattern. When contact is made with the sensors, the vibrations will hold at that intensity. When contact stops, the vibrations will return to the wave pattern.
- Vibrations will turn on when contact is made with the sensors, and turn off once contact stops.
Touch Sense is really a cool feature – not sure if everybody will appreciate it in the same way I do (I always liked tech and gadgets) but agree or not, it adds another dimension to the toy.
It would be better if We-Vibe made Touch Sense available on the actual remote because connecting the phone during sex is sometimes just not convenient.
The possibility of connecting toy with the app makes it a great choice for long-distance relationships and phone sex and similar plays.
It works nice just beware that you might experience lag sometimes because data has to actually travel. That’s not up to them, it’s just how the technology works. Every toy that can be controlled over long-distance, through apps is affected by that.
What else?
Charging the Chorus is easy. The case that comes with it is nice and neat, perfectly fits the nightstand.
It takes about 2 hours to charge the toy. Not sure exactly how much play you get out of it but I would say it depends if you’re using it with or without the app, intensities, etc…
There is not much else to say, I covered pretty much everything.
Grand finale
What is our final word – after almost 1800 words?
This is all a lot of words, details, and features but the key takeaway is this:
We-Vibe Chorus is first a PIV vibrator and second, a vibrator for solo use.
Spending 200$ to use Chorus alone does not make much sense because you won’t be able to use it up to its full potential
Nova 2 is an excellent choice for solo use – plus it can easily be used with the partner, and through the app too.
However, Chorus is an excellent toy to use during PIV sex – rumbly vibrations add real sensations to both penis and vagina owners. And since the toy is adjustable, it’s impossible to miss them.
Squeeze remote and Touch features add another dimension to this toy, and add to the variety in general.
Imagine all the sex before you go through all the vibration intensities, different pattern settings, 3 different Touch Sense modes and then, combining all that with Squeeze remote.
For me personally, this is a big thing. Exploring new things is important because it keeps relationships fresh in a way.
Material wise, Chorus is also a good investment since all the materials and tech are of good quality. I think this toy will last for many years and as I mentioned already, you get a 2-year warranty if it randomly dies.
The downside to all this is the price and while being justified, it’s still a lot. But if you can afford it and would like a not everyday toy for yourself and your partner, definitely go for it.
I sincerely doubt you’ll be disappointed.
