Today, I will be talking in detail about a toy from one of our favorite brands – We-Vibe.

So far, we have tried and reviewed many We-Vibe toys, including the Rave 2, Chorus, Moxie, Tango, and our absolute favorite, Nova 2.

Nova 2 is still one of our most used toys in both solo and partner play.

Today, we are enriching our collection with the Jive 2 – a wearable G-spot stimulator designed for discreet adventures.

How we tested We-Vibe Jive 2

Along with our usual extensive and thorough testing, I tested the toy alone a few times in different positions.

We also tested the toy together in various scenarios, such as foreplay, mutual masturbation, teasing, and during sex.

Additionally, we used it in different locations in and around our house.

Since the Jive 2 is designed to be wearable and quiet, we wanted to test its functionality in public settings as well.

Therefore, we tested the Jive 2 in two different public settings: a restaurant and while camping.

Things we like

Things we dislike

Not as strong and efficient as typically expected from We-Vibe toys. Due to its size and pronounced bump, the Jive 2 may be harder to insert for some users. Higher vibration modes can be too loud for quieter public settings.

The remote needs to be paired again each time after using the toy with the app. The app connectivity is not reliable. The higher price point may not be suitable for every budget.

Size, weight, and material

Jive 2 consists of two parts – the egg shaped vibrator and the flexible arm.

Vibrator measures 3’’ (7.6 cm) in insertable length and 1.4’’ (3.57 cm) in width at the widest point.

The arm measures 4’’ (10.2 cm) in length, 1’’ (2.5 cm) in width at the widest point, and 0.44’’ (1.14 cm) at the thinnest point.

Jive 2 is made out of body safe silicone and is 100% waterproof. It’s pretty light but it does have some weight at the vibrating part of the toy.

The remote is extremely light. It’s 2.85’’ (7.24 cm) long, 1.3’’ (3.25 cm) wide and 0.54’’ (1.38 cm) thick.

Features

The Jive 2 features 10 preset vibration modes. By changing the speed, the vibrations range from very light to very buzzy, providing more than satisfying sensations.

The toy has a single button located on the arm.

Short press of the button automatically starts the toy. Following short press will cycle through vibration modes. Long press of the button will turn off the toy.

The toy remembers the last used vibration pattern and will start from it once turned on again.

The arm is very flexible, making it easy to adjust to different bodies, and also serves as a retrieval stem for easier extraction.

The remote is small, lightweight, and battery-operated, with a blinking light on both the toy and the remote to show the connection.

The remote has five buttons: speed increase, speed decrease, cycle pattern left, cycle pattern right, and the We-Vibe button.

Jive 2 can be connected to either the remote or the app. Once connected to the app, the remote will stop working. To use the remote again, you will need to reconnect it. The We-Vibe button is used to pair the toy with the remote.

Using the remote or the app allows you to increase or decrease the speed for every pattern, a feature not available with the button on the toy.

Vibrations come from the egg-shaped part of the toy. While some vibrations travel through the bottom part of the arm on higher modes, I don’t consider this toy to be a clitoral stimulator or a double stimulating toy.

Buzzy vs rumbly

I often describe the vibrations of a toy as rumbly or buzzy. But what exactly does that mean?

Buzzy vibrations are high-frequency vibrations. They are felt more on the surface and feel more concentrated. Firmer pressure is required to feel the vibrations on a deeper level.

Rumbly vibrations are low-frequency vibrations. They feel deeper and affect a general area. Lower power levels may be required to avoid overwhelming sensitive spots since the whole area is being stimulated.

Personally, rumbly vibrations feel deeper and more satisfying to me, which works better for me.

Our experience using We-Vibe Jive 2

Using We-Vibe Jive 2 alone

The Jive 2 bump was a bit challenging for me initially; I needed a good amount of prep and lube to comfortably insert it.

Once inserted, the toy was comfortable, with strong and rumbly vibrations that felt nice.

The flexible arm fit snugly on my clitoris without being uncomfortable.

Jive 2 is easy to use, and both the remote and app worked well for me.

I could feel the vibrations and the bump pressing on my G-spot, but there wasn’t enough strength coming through the arm to the clitoris.

Unfortunately, I’m not able to orgasm solely from G-spot stimulation, and the clitoral stimulation was just not strong enough for me.

Using We-Vibe Jive 2 together

Using the Jive 2 together was definitely more fun. Since the toy is designed to be used outdoors, we were excited to put it to the test.

We tried it on a casual date night at a restaurant. Luka inserted the toy at home before we went out.

We decided to use the app instead of the remote, as it would look less suspicious if he was on his phone rather than dealing with a remote.

He turned the toy on while we were eating our apps.

Our experience was great. The toy was comfortable, it was easy for him to change the speed and vibration modes and you couldn’t hear the vibrations. We kept the settings on mid speeds just to be sure.

I was squeezing my thighs and moving my hips slightly without being noticeable. I felt like I got a bit more out of the clitoral stimulation in this situation, but not enough to orgasm at the table.

It was a very fun foreplay for us and we finished the job when we got home.

It does become uncomfortable to wear the toy for longer periods of time. I ended up removing it in the restroom.

Using the We-Vibe app

The app is well-made and it offers many modes: single vibe mode, multi vibe mode, touch mode, beat mode, playlist mode, and ambient mode.

I really like the multi vibe mode, where I can easily choose and transition between four different vibration modes.

Playlist and ambient modes allow the toy’s vibrations to sync with a song or ambient noise around you.

For long-distance play, you can add your partner to the app so they can control it. The app also offers options for sending texts, photos, voice calls, and video calls.

When I used the toy and app by myself, I had no issues. Everything ran smoothly, and I found it very easy and convenient to use, scrolling through the modes and options effortlessly.

When Luka had control over the app through the partner option, we experienced connectivity issues.

At first, we thought it was due to camping in a remote area with poor connectivity, but it kept happening at home as well. The app would work fine initially, then it would disconnect.

How Jive 2 compares with Jive

As you might have guessed, Jive 2 is an upgraded version of Jive. These are the main differences between the two.

Jive 2 features a larger bump to apply more pressure on the G-spot and an adjustable arm for a better fit, ensuring more comfortable wear for longer periods of time.

While Jive can be controlled via a button and an app, Jive 2 adds the convenience of a remote control.

Is We-Vibe Jive 2 a loud toy?

Since the Jive 2 was designed with outdoor use in mind, it’s very quiet on the lower levels but gets louder at higher levels.

The body absorbs most of the sound, so while I wouldn’t use the Jive 2 in a very quiet setting like a library, I felt comfortable using it in a public place such as a restaurant or bar.

How to charge We-Vibe Jive 2?

Jive 2 comes with a magnetic charger. The magnetic pins are strong and they connect to the toy very well.

It takes 90 minutes for a full charge, providing enough power for 2 hours of playtime.

How to clean We-Vibe Jive 2?

Since the Jive 2 is waterproof, it can be fully submerged in water. I recommend washing it with mild soap and warm water, then patting it dry with a clean towel.

However, the remote is not waterproof and should not be cleaned under water. Instead, lightly dampen a soft cloth and wipe down the surface of the remote gently.

Special considerations when using We-Vibe Jive 2

Individuals with limited dexterity or motor skills may find the pronounced bump of the Jive 2 challenging to insert.

The Jive 2 can be controlled via a remote, which is lightweight and easy to hold, making it suitable for users with limited hand strength.

The We-Vibe app provides an accessible interface for those who may struggle with the physical buttons on the toy or remote.

The Jive 2 offers multiple vibration levels, including low-intensity options that can be less overwhelming for individuals with heightened sensitivity or pain issues.
