I have written many reviews in the past couple of years but I still struggle with opening lines. And while this probably isn’t one of my good ones, I did learn a thing or two about my preferences in toys.

Like the fact that small usually means more practical and easier to use. It’s always easier and more practical when the toy is cordless. Also, nobody likes loud toys and cordless toys are often quieter.

Pomi Wand by Honey Play Box should be all that. Like a young sibling of a mega-popular massage wand toy that was rocking the world a couple of years back.

And even though I feel like the whole magic wand craze faded it could have its comeback with these smaller but equally powerful versions.

But if you don’t feel like reading the whole review, here’s The Verdict.

Presentation

For me, this has become more than just reviewing a toy. It’s become important to me how the company handles itself and how it presents its toys.

Because finding a good brand means that I’ll be getting more good toys in the future from a brand that I respect. That analogy always seemed good to me.

That is why I want to mention that the first toy we were supposed to review for Honey Play Box was Doro – a vibrating anal plug but when we saw it we instantly told them that this plug isn’t anal safe due to the ending that is way too small and the toy could get stuck.

They thanked us and pulled the product from their site until they redesign it and fix it. And that made me feel pretty good about the company and their way of doing business.

As I’m writing this I went to check the site to see if the toy came back AND I see it – the same Doro, still NOT anal safe and definitely not redesigned or fixed.

And now I’m upset. Even sad. Makes me wonder. Did they just remove it for the sake of a good review? Did they think I wouldn’t check again? Disappointing.

With that being said I will review the toy for the toy itself and its performance and not be biased by my opinion said above.

About the Pomi Wand

Pomi is a small Wand that reminds me of an old-school karaoke mic. Or a kid’s toy version of a karaoke mic.

It comes in a simple but sturdy box with a company logo on it and a small photo of a toy that’s inside.

In the box, Pomi is secured in foam with a magnetic charger in a small box on the side. I’m not a big fan of magnetic chargers as they always find their way to unplug. With a full charge (2 hours) I can get approximately 1 hour of play.

Pomi measures 6.92’’ (17.6 cm) in height and it has a thick round head that measures 1.85’’ (4.7 cm). The head is made out of body-safe silicone and it’s soft. And even though I can move the head around I wouldn’t call it flexible. There is a seam on the top of the head, but it’s small so that doesn’t bother me.

The Pomi’s body is made out of ABS plastic, it has a shiny ring on top and one button used for all operations. I have to press the button and hold it for 1.5 second to turn the toy on or off.

Although the Pomi looks nice in light pink with a deeper pink ring, I really don’t like pink toys and I was happy to see that they have more color options. Such as red-black, pink-white, and gray-black.

Finally, the Pomi Wand has 10 vibration modes, comes with a 1-year warranty and it’s waterproof.

Does the mini wand really hold the power of a full-sized wand?

The vibrations are pretty strong, deep and rumbly. And unlike some other mini wands, I have tried it has a nice variety of vibration modes.

I think that the first vibration mode is very strong and the wand could use a couple of lighter vibrations.

It doesn’t remember the last setting once turned off and it always starts at the first vibration mode once turned back on.

Pomi is super easy to hold and change the vibration modes but it’s not really quiet. I don’t think that toys with such motors can be on the quieter side.

I like that it can be used hands-free. When I placed it between my legs I used my thighs to hold it in place and the head is big enough, it was sitting perfectly on my clit.

The problem I noticed with this is that the wand got super hot and I thought that it could overheat.

It feels better to move the wand around as this gets me to orgasm faster and the wand doesn’t heat up so much.

All in all, I wouldn’t say it’s as strong as a full-sized wand but it’s pretty damn close.

How to care for Pomi?

Since Pomi Wand is waterproof it can be washed with warm soapy water.

I wouldn’t recommend using the silicone lube with silicone toys but if you insist be sure to test a small amount of your lube before using larger amounts.

The company also recommends not to use hand lotions or oils for the sake of keeping the toy in good condition for years to come.

Additional information

This part is a novelty in our reviews and here, I’m going to try and interpret the information for folks who are often not mentioned in online reviews.

If I’m wrong, please correct me.

For bigger folks

To use this toy you need to be able to comfortably reach your genitals and hold it for the duration of use which may cause additional fatigue.

For older folks

The highest vibration is pretty strong. The buttons are easy to find and easy to push mid-use. An active grasp is needed to use this toy.

For folks with disabilities

I wouldn’t recommend this toy for folks who experience increased sensations because the vibrations are very strong and rumbly. On the other hand, it would be a good option for folks who experience decreased sensations.

For transgender & gender-diverse folks

My wish was to include information on how this toy would work for transgender and gender-diverse folks but this is far out of my scope of knowledge, so if someone would like to pitch in, please do!

Final Thoughts

After my initial awe with the Honey Play Box’s way of doing business (specifically talking about Doro – UNSAFE anal toy) my happiness deflated when I saw that they’re still selling a toy that they now know it’s not safe to use.

But when talking about the Pomi Wand itself I have to say I’m surprised. It comes close to the strength of an older sibling – full sized massage wand, but in a much smaller and more practical variation.

It has a nice variety of vibration modes, most of them very strong and rumbly and not suitable for folks that experience increased sensitivity.

For the price of $59.99, I think the Pomi Wand is a good toy for anyone interested in trying out a mini wand type of toy.

You can get Pomi Wand on Honey Play Box’s website. But please, whatever you do, do not buy Doro. It is not safe and it could get stuck in you.
