Do you ever feel like having a slow solo session? The kind where you put on something that makes you feel sexy, set the mood, and take your time.
Maybe you start with your favorite spicy material that gets you going. Sometimes it is a video, other times a book or audio. You lie on the softest sheets, dim the lights, and let yourself sink into the moment.
I think about this kind of self-care a lot. How preferences shift. How to choose toys that actually match the scene you’re building.
And one thing that’s consistently missing for me? When it finally comes to penetration, it feels like too much work.
I mean the effort of thrusting the toy, finding the right angle, and trying to keep the rhythm just right instead of simply enjoying the sensation.
The toy I’m about to show you was made for this problem. The VVD Rider Desire – a riding sex machine with three interchangeable vibrators and clitoral stimulator.
How we tested VVD Rider Desire?
The natural thing to do was have a few solo sessions and try all of the included vibrators. I also tried riding it in reverse to get the full experience.
But we did not stop there. We also tried it as a couple. Luka played with me while I was riding, and at one point we even created a bit of a threesome vibe, with Luka joining in while the machine was doing its thing.
VVD Rider Desire review in short
Things we like about VVD Rider Desire
Comfortable for the legs when straddled, making it easy to ride and grind. Each vibrator offers a different sensation. There is also the option to include or skip clitoral stimulation. The buttons are easy to reach while riding, so switching modes is simple. And overall, it has a very nice design.
Things we disliked about VVD Rider Desire
The vibrator sizes are on the smaller side, which might not be enough for some users, and unfortunately there is no option to purchase additional attachments. Both the buttons and the remote feel somewhat flimsy and not particularly durable. I also experienced issues with the heating option.
Key takeaway from VVD Rider Desire review
For the price, the Rider is in the more affordable range for this type of product. It’s a very good entry-level sex machine, genuinely comfortable to ride and grind. I just wish there were more options when it comes to attachments.
VVD Rider Desire box contents and unboxing
The VVD Rider Desire comes in a large, sturdy box, with everything inside protected by styrofoam. The box itself is also a good option for storage.
Inside, there is a smaller box containing three vibrator attachments: a standard vibrator, a thrusting vibrator, and a tapping vibrator.
In addition to that, the package includes a remote control, a charging cord, and an instruction manual.
VVD Rider Desire size, weight and material
The Rider is a pretty big piece of equipment. It measures 17.3 inches (44 cm) in both length and width at its highest point, thanks to its shape.
It’s built like a rocking horse, which allows for a natural rocking motion during use. The body is made of ABS plastic.
At the top sits a silicone pad that houses the clitoral stimulator and a magnetic holder for the dildo.
The pad measures around 10 inches (25.4 cm) in length and about 6 inches (15.2 cm) in width.
The clit stimulator is round, roughly 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) in both length and width.
The magnetic holder is also round, about 1 inch (2.5 cm) in both length and width.
On the back, two rubber strips keep the machine from slipping during use.
There are three attachments included with the machine: a vibrator, a thrusting vibrator, and a tapping vibrator. All of them are made from body safe silicone.
The vibrator measures 5 inches (12.7 cm) in length and 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) in width at the widest part.
The thrusting vibrator comes in at 4 inches (10.2 cm) in length and 1.2 inches (3 cm) in width.
The tapping vibrator sits between the two — 4.5 inches (11.4 cm) in length and 1.2 inches (3 cm) in width.
The remote is ABS plastic, measuring 2.5 inches (6.4 cm) in length and 1.2 inches (3 cm) in width.
VVD Rider Desire features
Controlling the machine
The Rider Desire can be controlled via buttons on the toy or via the remote.
There are three buttons on the toy: one round and two tear-shaped.
The round button powers the machine on and off.
The top tear-shaped button controls the clitoral stimulation, cycling through modes with each press. A double click on that same button activates the heating function.
The bottom tear-shaped button controls the vibrator attachment in the same way, cycling through its modes with each press.
The remote has two buttons. The top button controls the attachment, and the bottom controls clitoral stimulation, both scrolling through modes the same way.
A long press on the top button activates the heating function.
Clit tapping
The clitoral tapping works through a round tip covered with layered silicone. When activated, the silicone moves slightly up and down, creating a tapping sensation while also producing vibration.
There are 10 tapping modes available. Some adjust the speed, while others follow different rhythmic patterns.
Attachments
All attachments have a plastic base with three magnets that snap onto the magnetic holder in the machine for a secure hold. Once attached, they stay firmly in place, no wobbling or shifting during use.
The vibrating attachment has a thick head with a slight curve for G-spot stimulation and ridges running down the shaft. It offers 7 vibration patterns.
The tapping attachment is shaped similarly, a pronounced curved head with ridges down the shaft, but houses a small ball inside the head that moves up and down during use, creating the tapping sensation. It offers 10 tapping patterns.
The thrusting attachment is shaped differently. It’s straighter than the other two, with more surface texture that resembles a lattice pattern. It offers 6 thrusting speeds.
Heating
I’m not entirely sure whether the heating function is meant to warm the attachment or the clitoral stimulator, as I never managed to get it to work.
Our experience using VVD Rider Desire
Using VVD Rider Desire Alone
For my solo sessions, I tried all of the attachments together with the clitoral stimulator. I tested them both in a regular cowgirl position and in reverse cowgirl. Since the machine is designed to be ridden facing forward, that position felt the most natural.
The reverse cowgirl was still quite comfortable and worked well, though it was slightly less comfortable for the legs because of the saddle shape.
I really liked the clitoral stimulator. When moving up and down on the attachment, the stimulator was hitting more of the general clitoral area and felt more teasing.
Once I was getting closer to orgasm, I shifted into more of a grinding motion, which brought the stimulator into more direct contact.
The sensation felt mostly like vibration with a bit of pulsation, and overall it was very comfortable and pleasurable.
The tapping attachment was my favorite. It has a larger head, which made the tapping sensation very noticeable.
The other attachments felt slightly too small for me, so I did not get as much out of them. With those, I had to move and ride more instead of finding a comfortable spot and grinding against it.
Using VVD Rider Desire Together
There were two ways of partner play that worked really well. The first was riding while giving my partner oral.
In this case I was grinding more than thrusting, since my focus was on him. I wished the thrusting attachment was bigger here, as I wanted to feel more of the thrust itself without having to do the work.
Clitoral stimulation was definitely necessary for me to be able to come in this position.
The other way was riding while Luka played with me, eventually joining in from behind. Here I relied more on staying seated on the saddle while Luka thrusted from behind.
In this scenario, the smaller attachments actually worked in my favor. It felt filling enough without being overwhelming.
Is VVD Rider Desire a loud toy?
Since the Rider Desire is a large sex machine running both a clitoral stimulator and vibrator attachments, it lands on the louder side. Definitely more noticeable than a regular vibrator.
How to charge VVD Rider Desire?
The VVD Rider Desire comes with a USB charging cable and takes about 3 hours to fully charge. On a full charge, it runs for up to an hour and 15 minutes, depending on which motors are being used and the speed setting.
How to clean VVD Rider Desire?
Both the silicone and ABS plastic parts can be cleaned with mild soap and warm water.
There are quite a few ridges on both the saddle and the attachments, so a bit of extra attention is needed around those areas to make sure everything is properly cleaned.
I store mine in the original box it came with, so making sure everything is completely dry before putting it away is important. That helps prevent bacteria from forming and keeps it ready for the next use.
The machine is not waterproof and should not be cleaned by submerging it in water.
Special considerations when using VVD Rider Desire?
The Rider Desire requires straddling the saddle and maintaining a seated position while rocking or grinding. People with limited hip mobility, reduced leg strength, or joint pain may find it difficult to mount or stay balanced on the machine for longer sessions.
The toy can be controlled through buttons on the machine or the remote, which is helpful for users who cannot easily reach the controls while riding.
The attachments are fixed in size with no option to purchase alternatives, so anyone who needs a specific size for comfort or accessibility reasons will not be able to customize.
Final words
The VVD Rider Desire is a solid entry-level sex machine at a pretty affordable price point for the category. It’s comfortable to sit on, easy to use, and versatile enough to work well both in solo sessions and with a partner.
My main wish is that more attachments were available – either as options to choose from when purchasing the machine, or sold separately for anyone who’d like both bigger and smaller sizes to work with.
