Review: Thigh, Wrist, and Ankle Restraint Set

Thanks to Lovehoney we had a chance to try and review Purple Reins which is a thigh, wrist, and ankle restraint. Great, but what is that?

Restraints are one of the toys I love the most, if not even my favorite.

The rope is also great, however, I do not know so many knots and at the times, can’t use it as I would like to.

And, the main reason behind my love of restraints  – I love to see Leja bound and helpless, waiting for me to play with her.

Purple Reins – a thigh, wrist and ankle restraint set

This restraint set consists of two straps sets.

Each set has a bigger cuff that’s designed to be worn around the thigh and a pre-attached smaller cuff that can be used for the ankle.

The third part is a detachable cuff that can be attached to the first part in two different places.

The whole system looks kinda confusing at first (like under the bed restraint system) but after a few minutes of observing and contemplating, it’s nothing more than simple.

So, first I’d suggest detaching the cuff. After that, fasten the smaller cuff around the ankle. Next, fasten the larger strap around the thigh. And the last step is to clip the wrist cuff to the O-ring on the main part.

Personally, I think the whole procedure is the easiest if your partner is sitting on their knees.

See? It’s easy.

Restraints are made of nylon, velcro, and foam padding, which is….not bad.

Usually, I prefer restraints made from leather (like these leather cuffs) but leather might not be the best choice for this type of restraints.

I totally dislike rough Velcro ends, and the foam padding which looks like somebody glued it together 15 minutes before sending it out.

However, after using the restraints a couple of times, I did change my opinion.

Purple Reins set is sturdy and it can withhold a lot. And, according to Leja, restraints are quite comfortable to wear.

Also, the rough ends can be trimmed easily.

Before we continue onto the next part, I wanted to mention that the thigh strap is long enough to fit larger legs and the Velcro still does a great job restraining.

Also, there are no allergens in the material, meaning there is no phthalate or latex.

How did we use Purple Reins set?

The joy I feel when we’re about to try new restraints can probably be compared to times when I was a kid and I got a new Lego set.

I guess I’m turned on by the vast number of possibilities that can be tried and explored.

The last restraints we tried were hog-tie restraints and those were so much fun.

However, when a person is hog-tied, their ass is not as much exposed.

Let’s say flogging, which is one of my favorites, is close to impossible. Yes, you can use a cane, riding crop, or a paddle, but also not to the full extent.

And that’s exactly why this set looked more attractive.

Basically, it is a 4-in-1 set, comfortable to wear, and quite sturdy.

I’ll say that it deserves a place on the shelf of every bondage and restraint lover, beginner or not.
