The wear & play test is completed! Over the course of last 3 weeks I was and we were playing with the Sevanda Ergo Cage and now it’s time to write the chastity cage review.
This was our initial encounter with a chastity cage, the first occasion I wore one, and our inaugural exploration of it as a couple – and let me tell you, it was a truly… interesting experience.
Sevanda Ergo Cage was sent to us by the Lock The Cock company, and according to their website, their selection of chastity cages is curated by veteran Mistresses experienced in the art of denial.
Awesome, I thought to myself, it means I will be in experienced hands. Well me but Willy will be.
Before we dive deep into the specifics, I would like to explain what exactly a chastity cage is – so everybody has base knowledge going forward.
What is a chastity cage?
Chastity cage is a piece of BDSM toy/gear designed to physically restrict one’s ability to engage in sexual activities or have access to their genitals.
Usually, it consists of a cage-like structure made of materials such as metal or plastic, which encloses the penis and prevents erection or sexual stimulation.
Folks with penises are usually the ones wearing it and it is usually intended to be used as a part of (consensual) power exchange dynamic and D/s dynamics.
It is often that the person wearing it gives the key to their partner, who then holds the power when the device can be removed.
And yes, Leja had the opportunity to control my locked Willy’s fate…but more on that a bit later….
Chastity cage design and construction
Sevanda Ergo Cage is a ergonomic, beautiful, sleek black chastity cage. Right of the bat, two things stood out for me: weight & holes.
The chastity cage is made from plastic and it is lightweight. Both in the hand and while worn. Truth be told, I was a bit sceptic at first, however, the cage proved to be strong and sturdy and yet if felt very light.
The holes on and around the design helped that feeling, I think. Yes, my Willy was locked 100%, however, holes enabled the air to flow through and it didn’t feel as claustrophobic for Willy. I loved that.
The holes and the lightweightness are the two factors that definitely impact the comfort a lot. I haven’t tried any other cages which means I can not compare the comfort levels but I can say that wearing Sevanda Ergo Cage was comfortable.
Mounting and securing the chastity cage was also made super easy by thoughtful design but I will get into that below.
Chastity cage fit & size information
Secanda Ergo Cage measures 4.34’’ (11.02cm) in length and 1.57’’ (3.98cm) in diameter. With it, you get three different rings: 1.57″ (3.98cm), 1.77″(4.49cm), 1.97″(5.01cm).
The length and diameter are standard measures for the chastity cages, however, you might be asking yourself, how do I measure and decide what size of the chastity cage I need? Don’t worry, I got you.
Measuring yourself and knowing the right size for you is crucial for comfort – and to learn how to do that properly I conducted a Google search which lead me to this article from House of Denial.
I highly recommend reading through it as you will learn how to properly measure yourself + you will learn what are possible dangers of wearing a chastity cage that is too big or too small for you.
Security & locking mechanism
The lock and the mechanism are placed up top
I mentioned before that mounting and locking the cage was made easy by good design – here is what I meant by that.
Lock The Cock placed the lock and the mechanism up top, and that as a location is great because it is literally down, in front of you.
Also, the back rings has a hinge which helps a lot with mounting. You basically wrap the back ring around the scrotum, close it up front, insert the locking mechanism into the cage, insert the lock and turn the key. It might sound as a lot of steps but doing it is effortless and does not require any crazy movements.Even for someone who has never done that, the whole process was easy peasy.
Once on me, it was virtually impossible to get out without the key. I could’ve tried to squeeze my balls through the ring but that just seemed like it could be painful and I did not even want to try.
Practicality and discretion
For the sake of the test, of course *wink* *wink*, I tried wearing it during my regular day. At first, I was concerned that it will be easily noticeable to see something is off, over my shorts, however, it wasn’t. And that is really cool, the fact that it is discrete.
Since I picked the ring that was a good size for me, wearing it was comfortable. It did not slip or move to much neither did it cause any other trouble.
At the times, I even forgot I have it (when I was paying for groceries).
My experience
All in all, my first experience wearing a chastity cage was very positive minus the sexy sexual frustration.
Wearing it to the store was interesting experience, – I had a dirty little secret that nobody knew of and add to that the fact that my Willy was completely in Leja’s control at the time. I found that hot and later when she took it off, it was great. That day I wore it for around 3 hours.
Btw. I read some persons post once where they said the most they were locked was 4 days. :O So on that scale, my 3 hours are nothing but I have to say, from the comfort perspective, it wasn’t a problem at all.
We tried it also while playing. I was locked and she teased me in a super sexy lingerie. Getting hard or to say, trying to get hard was a bit frustrating, however, she taking it off a bit later and me being allowed to jerk off while she danced in front of me was ecstatic really.
Locking up made Willy out of reach and that made it all more fun.
Couple of things I’d like to mention before I wrap it up:
Sevanda Ergo Cage is easy to clean and maintain because of its open design. I think that is important feature to know, whether you’re going to buy Sevanda or any other chastity cage.
Remember to trim your hair. I’m usually trimmed because I like it like that, however, I think having hair or a lot of hair while wearing a cage might cause pinching and discomfort.
Take care of your keys! You get two keys which are plenty however if you lose them all you’ll have to break the cage.
If you’re wearing it outside and you’re not accustomed to it, consider peeing while sitting down as you might splash things you could not even imagine you could splash.
Conclusion
Sevanda Ergo Cage is a really decent cage, if not great. It’s hard for me to place it on the grand scale of chastity cages as haven’t tried any other cage, however, from my point of view, this chastity cage is outstanding in every aspect
It felt comfortable, it was easy and intuitive to use, cleaning it was easy and the toy is durable.
And the price (at the time of writing) is good: $49.99.
I did my research on other shops and yes, I found other cages, however, reviews were not always positive. And we always say, it might be better to spend a couple of extra $$$ and get a good thing.
If locking the cock is something you do or something you were thinking of doing, check out Sevanda Ergo Cage and check Lock The Cock’s other chastity cages.
Thank you for reading & happy locking the cock.
