After we did the how to do a single column tie video, one question crossed my mind.
I asked her – I love to discuss these things with her:” What do you think? What are the things one can use for bondage?”, and the discussion started.
We both had some suggestions that we decided not to put here, our common sense and (some) experience told us that it would not be a good choice. However, we came up with 7 ideas that you can implement in your life and in your sessions, especially if you don’t have the first two things from the list.
And, you’ll notice that this is a very colorful post. I played with our Nikon camera and then later, with editing software. Eventually, I got some interesting results. And in addition to that, there are to photos from two other sessions. Happy reading!
Things to use for bondage
Ok, let’s go through the list.
Rope
The obvious choice. Ropes come in a hundred different variations, but only some are good choices for bondage. We wrote about bondage rope, so be sure to inform yourself. Picking the right rope can help you not to hurt yourself or your sub, also you will tie the knots easier,… MUST-READ. We also discussed the bondage rope we use and posted some good-looking photos.
Bondage tape
Easy bondage! Tape doesn’t require knowledge of any knots, the tape is plug-n-play. 😀 Very sexy looking, very simple to use and what makes it even better – it is reusable. Read our bondage tape review and see yourself.
Duct tape bondage – theoretically, you can use regular duct tape for bondage, but! It can be painful to remove once you use it. That’s why bondage is so much better choice and it is not even expensive.
Tie (necktie)
Like with a scarf, you can do a lot. Besides, ties look classy. BTW, do you like my ties? 🙂
Scarf
You probably have one at home. It is not as versatile as rope or bondage tape, but it can serve you very well. The ”usual” length is more than enough to tie your sub and play with them. A quick solution! Word of advice, don’t use your new, cool scarf as it might get damaged in the process. 😀
Belt
Just pull it out from your pants and get to it (as I did!). I would personally include some spankings first. 🙂 (see BDSM category)
Zip tie
You probably have this at home or if not, you can get it in most stores (convenience and hardware) for a small price. The good side of it is that zip ties are very secure and it is practically impossible to break free from them. However, be careful how you do your bondage with it as it could cause injuries.
Extra tip! Ethernet cables (or any cables)
Suggested by Auntie Vice on our Twitter account. There is no one person on Earth who doesn’t have a few spare Ethernet cables. 😀
Be careful when you do bondage, no matter what you use. It may not be common, but don’t let your bondage session turn into a horror story.
Now, when I think about it, zip ties and belts are more of a restraint than a replacement for bondage rope.
