Q&A list continues to grow bigger!

This week’s Q&A guest is Deviant Succubus, right after Anne Stagg (or just see the whole Q&A list). Last Q&A was a lot of fun – Anne shared a great number of interesting things with us, that Q&A is totally worth reading.

Today we continue in the same way – this Q&A is awesome (we hope you’ll like it too), Deviant Succubus shared some details about her and her work, alongside with some great photos.

Also, we’d like to congratulate Deviant Succubus one more time for being in Top 100 sex blogs of 2019 and also in Top New Sex Blogs of 2019. Great job!

Q&A – Deviant Succubus

Hey there, how is everything? Can you tell me a bit about yourself?

Hello Hello! Myself, eh? I am quite a complicated person! I am a pansexual cis-woman in her late 30s. I am half-Persian and half-German, lived in Germany until I was 24, then moved to Sweden and lived there for 12 years.

And recently I moved to Canada. So you could say that I am a bit of a globetrotter! I have several university degrees in the humanities, I have worked in volunteer work in leadership positions for years and I am a strong mental health advocate.

I have several mental and physical illnesses which all affect my daily life to different degrees. I am married and in a D/s relationship. I am a self-confessed brat! These days I spent a lot of time writing on my blog, freelancing and being creative in many ways.

We read a couple of Elust articles on your blog and I must say, I like the idea. Can you explain it in a few words?

Elust is an amazing effort that aims to publish a list of links each month, coming from different sexbloggers.

It is so difficult to be a sexblogger in the censored internet world, so there are several initiatives to share each other’s works, and to make sure that our work gets read by a wider audience.

All sexbloggers are welcome to send in one of their posts each month, as long as those posts follow the guidelines. I can really recommend any sexblogger to check Elust out and maybe send in their own work too!

Also, I stumbled upon few of the erotic fiction stories you published on the blog. Personal favorite is Drusilla – queen of vampires. How did you come up with ideas?

The idea for Drusilla is probably based on my general love for all things dark and macabre.

I have always found vampires sexy but most vampire erotic stories are cheesy. I thought I’d write something different, on a 19th century vampire. I am also in love with the Victorian era. I love historical fiction. So I basically just combined a few things I really like.

I tend to write fiction with strong characters who have a back story, a life, a personality. Every now and then, I create a raw and filthy story too, but those are more based on real life experiences, like snapshots of my life, enhanced by my creativity.

By the way, the name Drusilla I got from a character in Buffy The Vampire Slayer – you just never know where your inspiration for erotic fiction could come from!

What other erotic stories would you recommend?

In general, I like erotic fiction that actually tells a story and is not just focused on the sexy act.

There is only so much you can do in terms of how you describe sex. But when the build up is right, when there is a setting that is already electrified with an erotic energy, then erotic fiction is at its best. Erotic writers that I admire are Jupiter Grant and Bluesubmission.

I can also recommend checking out Masturbation Monday, a great place to check out the newest creations by the best erotic writers out there. As for my own writing, I wouldn’t publish anything on my blog that I wasn’t happy with!

Some of my own favourite stories are Slutty Fantasy – Fiery Torture, Strange Encounter, A Different Kind of Wonderland, The Experiment and Closer.

Do you have any good advice for people who are not talented writers? By people I mean us 🙂

I am not sure if I am a talented writer myself, haha!

But there are a few things that I realize have helped me improve on my writing. Write what you know! Write about things that you know something about that, that you have experience with, that would turn you on, that you want the world to know about.

If you write about something that you know, that you are interested in, then it is easier to get into the right kind of mindspace. I also find grammer and the right formatting help to make a text easier to read,

So always proofread at least once before you publish something and do a preview so you know what the end result will look like. A very practical tip is to not be too repetitive with your words (there are always synonyms!), and to use transition words other than but, actually, and honestly.

žThose are all things I have picked up along the way and that have helped me improve my own writing.

Do you practice BDSM in your life? What are your favorite kinks?

Yes, I practice BDSM! I am in a D/s relationship with my wonderful Master.

I have always known that I have a submissive streak, so it is really awesome to finally be able to explore that side of me. I am a masochist, a degradee, and a slut.

I have a lot of kinks, everything from cum tributes, to anal sex, to humiliation. And I am quite sure that there are many more kinks that I don’t even know about yet that are going to be a huge turn on for me.

What are your favorite sex toys?

I don’t have one favourite sex toy, but I love wands and rabbits. I just like vibrations on my clit! One kind of toy I want to try out in the future are glass dildos. They seem very intriguing to me.
